The festive New York launch of Carolyn Blue's first book has gone up in smoke—literally. At the urging of her editor, Carolyn agrees to flambé her popular turkey recipe for a crowd of fellow foodies and writers. When the publicity stunt rages out of control, two flaming turkeys are tossed out into the street below. One injures the publisher, who was on his way to the party—and the other causes an accident that puts a young woman in a coma. Suddenly, the acclaimed food writer is being accused of a terrorist attack on lower Manhattan. Now it's up to Carolyn to restore her reputation and find out who sabotaged her book-launch flambé.
Includes delicious recipes from the ethnic neighborhoods of New York City, where Carolyn eats out, searches for the enemy who attacked her good name and her first book, EATING OUT IN THE BIG EASY, and gathers material for a second book, EATING OUT IN THE BIG APPLE.
